Camera control is done via SBUS output, geotagging via MavLink forwarding (also on DJI drones). We don’t include a MavLink cable — wire your own serial connection from the original cable. Installation manual

We suggest TAG-E instead of ENTIRE R3 for this setup

TAG-E is the enhanced version of ENTIRE R3 made specifically for the Sony ILX-LR1. If you also need to connect other cameras, ENTIRE is the right choice.

How will you power ENTIRE?

ENTIRE needs a solid 5 V / 1 A input.

Camera control mode

During geotagging the USB port is used for writing EXIF, so plain ENTIRE controls Sony cameras via IR (menu & arrows only) or WiFi (newer cameras without Smart Memories, not always stable). A SmartPlug gives full control while geotagging.

Which camera model category?

Selects the right SmartPlug. SmartPlug needs a 12–14.5 V power input.

ILX-LR1 control mode

WiFi control works solidly on the ILX-LR1. The LR1 Expander adds full control during geotagging, but requires opening the camera and may void its warranty.
